Illegal Additions Made Legal
If you have received an "Order to Comply" regarding your illegal addition, you have the option to tear it down or to make it legal. Most building inspectors will advise removal of the illegal addition, however this may not be in your best interest. To help determine the value of an illegal addition to the homeowner, we require a Site Investigation Report. This will help our representatives and homeowner analyze the facts to develop a clear understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of a resolution or a tear down.

The Site Investigation Agreement (S.I.A.) is a standard agreement between Illegal Additions Made Legal and the property owners. This document verifies our authority, and professional commitment to making your illegal addition legal. The S.I.A. can be used as verification with local authorities that you are in the process of taking corrective actions to resolve your illegal addition. It also gives us the authority to pull your records and speak with authorities in relation to your problem.

A Site Investigation Report (S.I.R.) is a compilation of all records and information pertaining to your home. After physically inspecting your home and assessing the situation, our representatives will gather all relevant information from the city/county agencies, like Building & Saftey, Planning Departments, Tax Assessors, Community Councils, Neighborhood Councils etc. to determine the status of your problem. We gather all information ourselves to insure that nothing is omitted or neglected. This will help our representatives and homeowner analyze the facts to develop a clear understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of a resolution or a tear down.
